San Francisco Reflection
I really enjoyed going to San Francisco. I had a really great time and I got to know every one a lot better. My group did a tone of walking, but it was fine because i think that is the best way to see a city. We went to great restaurants and saw some really cool places . We did a great job with the money and never ran out. Charlie and Anthony where really good with the mapping so we did not get lost a lot That often. I think one of our problems were sometimes we had lack of communication so at points we just had to stop and talk as a whole group, but as a whole I had a really great time and i think I learned a lot.
When we first got to the hostel I thought it was really scary looking everyone was saying how it looks like shudder Island so that was not the best start. Carwai told me to think paint and a power wash, but it grows on you. We stayed in three rooms, all the girls and Crystal, twelve boys and Rob and Jesse, and Carwai, Anthony, Charlie and David. We had meetings at night in the room with all the boy to discuss what we had done that day. I really enjoyed talking to everyone at night and seeing what cool things they had done. By the end of the trip I really enjoyed coming back to the warm hostel after we had been out and about all day. The hostel was right on fort mason so it was in a great spot, right in the middle of everything. It also had amazing views. Over all I really enjoyed this hostel.
I was in charge of our budget. I really enjoyed working with at the money and most of all, I liked signing my name on the credit card slip. When I left my mom and dad told me to tip twenty percent so I did. Each day I had to fill out the sheet Carwai told me to fill out out with, i have no idea what i would have done. I kept track of how much money and the recites so we would know how much we had spent. We had two three hundred dollar credit cards and six hundred dollars in cash. With all that money I always had the fear of loosing it, but it was fine. The one thing that got sort of annoying was the people who were really werided out about how much money we had. Before we left when we were planning we had a extra six hundred dollars, but in a big city with a hungry group it goes fast. After working with the money for the week, when I go to buy food or eat at a restaurant I am always looking at the bill everything seems so much more expensive. I think we got just the right amount of money. Some times we were to concerned about having enough money, but in the end we had had just the right about. The only thing that was annoying was that my credit card was declined which was very scary, but then I just paid in cash, so it was fine.
I think we could have done a little better job with planning some things, but at the same time it felt like we were well planed out. i think one of the that we could have done is have a meeting with our group before we started the day to go over things and make sure everyone knew what was going on, because at some points I think we had that problems that not everyone know what we were doing that day. I loved our group. I think we had the best time it is hard to come up with things that didn’t go well because I had the best time and I just like looking at all the great things that we did and saw. I over all really enjoyed this trip and I would love to have another trip just like it.
